Ridley Scott Releases Viral Marketing Video for Prometheus
Today Ridley Scott revealed a viral video in the form of a TED confrence set in 2023. In it we see Guy Pearce coming out on stage, and talking about the technological advances the human race has made since the invention of fire.
Pretty impressive stuff, we, the humans of this Earth have managed to do in a relatively short amount of time.
But who is this man? In the end he introduces himself as Peter Weyland, the head of the Weyland corporations, and proclaims that we have become the gods.
The video is an amazing idea to generate buzz for the film, while still retaining an air of mystery about it.
In a recent interview though, he tried to convince us that the only connection between Prometheus and Alien was the Weyland Corporation. Well, let’s just wait and see.
I’m not inclined to believe him … or am I?

Thanks for sharing, I am getting so pumped up for this film. The trailers look awesome and have helped to ease my trepidtion, somewhat, about Scott talking about making a Blade Runner sequel.
Imagine seeing this at the end of a real TED conference, and not knowing its from a movie.
