Still Life: Awesome Fan-Made Prometheus Posters

Still Life: Awesome Fan-Made Prometheus Posters

The campaign for Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi thriller (and Alienprequel) Prometheus has been nothing short of impressive. From Guy Pearce popping up in a futuristic TED talk, or a webpage chronicling the history of Weyland Industries, to a Weyland Industries video celebrating the 8th generation of their android, David, the thing that has caught the eye the most is the film’s flawlessly designed visual presentation.

In fact, it is so inspiring that it has got the fans going as well.

Over the last three weeks, the official Prometheus Facebook page has published a number of fan-made posters and artwork for Prometheus, and some of them give the official posters a run for their money. Check out the best here:

A retro-style poster by Fritte Öhman. Really reminiscent of the original Alien.

Prometheus artwork by Harry Overend. Notice the creature on the right.

A fan poster by Fernando Frater. Eerie and atmospheric, it makes good use of its grainy texture.

A sleek, professional-looking poster by Joshua Foo, highlighting David 8. Could easily be mistaken for an official poster.

A fan poster by Matt Needle. A very stylish design.

A fan poster by Midnight Marauder, composed of five shots from the movie. Emphasizes more action than the other posters.

A cool, hand-drawn poster by Tim Deceuninck.
