Still Life: G.I. Joe: Retaliation Posters Are A Mixed Bag
In an age where nothing is ever “final” in film marketing, especially when it comes to big-budget films, where a new poster crops up every three days, fans’ posters are featured in the official marketing push, we get trailers for trailers for films, and the cinematic experience is expanded far beyond the mere 2-hour visit to the cinema, there’s a certain old-fashioned beauty in presenting “the final theatrical poster” for a big summer film. And so the makers of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the sequel to 2009′s guilty pleasure G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, present exactly that to us (via Comingsoon):

10 years ago, who would have thunk Bruce Willis would ever take the back-seat to Dwayne Johnson on a blockbuster poster? Also, Retaliation will feature a random chick with a gun.
If you think this poster is a “little lacking,” don’t fret, though, as recently Comingsoon also featured 8 character posters, where each major character gets a chance to shine and the top of everyone’s head is cut off.
