Daily Trailer: Comparing The Prometheus and Original Alien Trailers
The connection between Prometheus and Alien has been much-debated over the last year or so, with director Ridley Scott going from flat-out denying that this is “an Alien prequel”, to dropping contradictory hints on the matter to pretty much giving it away. How big the connection will be is irrelevant at this point, as all we’re hoping for is the sort of inspired science fiction we know Sir Ridley is more than capable of, but it’s fun to play along. In light of that discussion, I present you with two trailers, one for Prometheus, and the other an original trailer for 1979′s Alien. We’ll just let the images speak for themselves.

The high pitched screaming-like noise is so perfect. It gives the trailers such an edge that it’s impossible not to get excited about the films.
I just know Prometheus will only show us aliens as evil killers. We’re not all crazy! I’m part alien, part human and part terminator, and we’re a normal family.
If we had an award for Most Awesome Comment, you would win it.
Thanks! I just speak my mind. Humans still don’t trust us, especially my terminator family because of the War. So they end up making these films filled with prejudice. I just live my life as a normal teenager and hope people will see we’re cool!
