Daily Trailer / Still Life: Hell Gets DVD Release Date
The word ‘hell’ in German means ‘bright’, and since Hell is a German film, it wins the award for the most imaginative title picked to suit an international audience. The film is about a post-apocalyptic future in which ‘the sun has turned the entire world into a baked and barren wasteland’ and follows a group of survivors as they desperately search for a rumoured place where water can still be found. It’s produced by Roland Emmerich, who has been giving us CGI-riddled visions of the end of the world as a director since the ’90s (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012), however the trailer below gives evidence of a much more refined affair, relying on sci-fi thriller techniques rather than grand scenes of destruction.

Directed by relative unknown Tim Fehlbaum, Hell has been well-received by critics in Germany, winning awards for its score and editing and being nominated for 5 German Film Critics Awards, including Best Film. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 2nd July 2012. Some newly released stills from the film can be found below.

The story line needs work and the action sequences are very short lived and few at that. With some of them pathetic. This is a low budget film. The movie D+ at best and there is 90mins of veiwing time and a cost of $12.96 for dvd a waste of money and time spent.
