Daily Trailer: Stop Showing Us The Dark Knight Rises, Just Give It To Us. Now.
Look, Warner Bros. You don’t need to sell us on this film anymore. It looks amazing. Amazing. Just go dark, don’t show us anything until release. We know you want to beat The Avengers, but that’s nigh on impossible, no matter how much you put into the marketing. Besides, quality is the only metric that really matters in the heart of hearts, right?
All that said, this is perhaps the best trailer yet. Highlighting the film’s massive scope and the scale of the action. The sparse use of dialog is also very effective, giving Bane’s “Mr. Wayne” the force of a tidal wave. Hans Zimmer‘s music is also sounding fantastic. Oh, and that shot of Batman getting illuminated by the gunfire in the tunnel is stunning beyond words.

Perhaps most impressively, doubly so with all the trailers and TV spots, it’s still hard to get a handle on exactly how things come together to form the plot of the film.
A month out from release and it’s Christopher Nolan‘s battle to lose. As it stands he’s very much on the ball. Let’s hope that doesn’t change.
P.S. Personally, I think this blows the Life of Pi teaser out of the water, pun intended. Sorry, dear Editor.
[Editor's note: Sverrir has now been sent to the chamber of punishment, where he will be forced to watch Jack & Jill until he repents.]
How excited are you for The Dark Knight Rises? Describe it to us in harrowing detail in the comments.

very much excited…the trailer is beautiful in every way.
I agree with you that quality is the only metric that really matters in the heart of hearts. Though, I don’t agree with you saying that beating The Avengers is nigh on impossible. People knew it will be a huge success but it was still surprising that it raked more than a billion dollars in box office. No one knew it would reach that far. As for now, let’s just wait when its showing in theaters.
It’s inevitable. It’s not a “feel good/heck yeah” movie, it’s longer and it isn’t in 3D. It won’t make as much money.
[...] I know what I said, but damn. Look at it! Striking. Memorable. Everything a billboard should be. Bravo. [...]
