Still Life: Are You Bruce Lee?

Good documentaries are always in demand but we here at Filmophilia are not ones to follow that scene too closely. This documentary, called I Am Bruce Lee, has, however, grabbed our attention, perhaps due to the impressive crew behind it (but mostly we just want to know more about Bruce Lee). Pete Cormack (Facing Ali; Uganda Rising; See Grace Fly) is directing and interviewing Lee’s wife Linda Lee Cadwell, his daughter Shannon Lee, Bob Wall, Ed O’Neill, Gina Carano, Kobe Bryant, Jon Jones and most excitingly Mickey Rourke among others. The film is said to shed light on Lee’s influence on modern day martial arts and his connection to the “establishment of Mixed Martial Arts as we know them today” (according to the film’s website).

Like any good documentary would I Am Bruce Lee promises some rare footage, including stuff from Enter the Dragon, Ed Parker’s Long Beach Karate Tournament, TV series Here Come the Brides and training sessions. So if you’re a fan of the original Kato don’t miss this one (out in the UK 20th of July).

But for now feast your eyes on these pictures below.
