Universal Playing With Children Again. No, Wait..
Ah, the straight to DVD sequel. A staple of every franchise that has been viciously run into the ground, or every 80s horror franchise. After rumors of a series revival, via the voice of Chucky Brad Dourif, Universal has confirmed that Curse of Chucky will go into production this September. It’s entirely unclear whether anyone wanted or needed this to happen, especially seeing how the goal is apparently to make it darker and scarier. A “grimdark” reboot, so serious. Dourif is, of course, reprising his role, as is writer Don Mancini (contrary to popular belief, not a mob boss). Expect it to sneak on to shelves and fade into complete obscurity around the holiday season.
Honestly, if you want to throw money at anything named Child’s Play, you should rather donate to the synonymous charity. Check it you, seriously.

More proof of the slow decline of Western civilization, I’m afraid.
I really do not understand why they are remaking movies that were good! Can’t they pick a movie that bombed years ago and reshape it?
