Daily Trailer: Looper Continues to Impress, Looper Continues to Impress, Looper Continues to Impress.
Edit: Do to some hilarious copy/paste shenanigans the embedded video was in fact not the Looper trailer. This has been amended.
One of this year’s most interesting films is the time travel based assassin-hired-to-assassinate-himself-from-the-future thriller, Looper. With a great premise and cast, great looking posters and a great teaser things are looking very good indeed. Now, with a full theatrical trailer it’s still looking every bit as unique and exciting.

Writer/Director Rian Johnson is effortlessly blending science fiction with delightful noir elements. And he’s not skimping on the action. Oh boy, is he not. Looper looks like it shaping up to be a beautiful film, and perhaps one with a lot going on underneath the surface. There are certainly shots, involving Emily Blunt‘s character, that heavily imply that there’s more than just time travel that make up the film’s staple of, shall we say, science fictional elements.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis are essentially playing the same character and it looks like they’ll get plenty of chances to interact and play off one-another. Signs point towards that being a thoroughly enjoyable thing to behold.
Looper comes out on September 28th, giving you plenty of time to study up on paradoxes.
