A Poster For Dredd, A Judgment On You

If you haven’t heard the buzz around this upcoming film, you will now. Releasing a cool new motion poster, Dredd highlights law-enforcer Karl Urban  passing judgement upon the viewer. And without hesitation, sentence us to ‘death!’

Where the police are both the  law-enforcer and judge. Where they possess the power to thoughtlessly dish out life-ending punishments on the spot. Where the post-apocalyptic settlement of Mega-City One calls for pulling the trigger before asking questions. Dredd displays a society that is broken, dark, and full of corruption.

Entranced by a new mind-altering drug called Slo-Mo, Citizens of Mega-One City viciously fight to get their fix. The notorious gang leader Ma-Ma (Lena Heady) controls the drug dealings of the city, benefiting greatly at the moral carnage and demise of society.

Heavily guarded, Ma-Ma appears untouchable, but has not yet had an encounter with Judge Dredd until now…

Directed by Pete Travis, Dredd will open in theaters on September 7th, 2012. So while we wait, let us allow for the excitement to build with this newly released promotional poster.
