The Buzz: The Dark Knight Rises 13 Minute Featurette

With the impending release of what is sure to be one of if not thee biggest films of the year, The Dark Knight Rises, thundering ever closer, the marketing masterminds of Warner Brothers have pulled out all the stops and in the last couple of weeks rabid fans have been able to feast their eyes and froth at the mouth over a steady stream of promotional images and new TV spots.

Now we have a new glimpse of the film that gives us an access point to some behind the scenes footage inter-cut with brief sound bites where the films actors talk in highly abstract terms about how satisfying the movie is going to be and how Christopher Nolan is essentially the greatest thing since sliced bread.

As far as new footage from the film goes the featurette barely registers and mostly its DKR footage consists of the various trailers and TV spots that we have already seen being recut. Far more interesting is listening to Christopher Nolan give us a brief summary of what the physical and psychological state of the trilogy’s characters will be when we finally reconnect with them on July 20th.

I have to say that date can’t come quickly enough.
