Daily Trailer: OmniCorp Viral Video Provides First Glimpse of RoboCop

With the imminent release of one Paul Verhoeven remake, Total Recall, the folks at the headquarters of another one, RoboCop, have decided to kick off their own hype campaign with a very thinly disguised viral video, released yesterday. It comes in the form of an OmniCorp marketing video, highlighting their most recent achievements in weapons development, and at the end, we’re introduced to a glimpse of their newest product, the “RC 2000″. No bets taken for guessing what the “RC” stands for.

We don’t see much, but it’s obvious that there is confidence aplenty at the RoboCop camp, as they’re apparently aiming to keep us teased and excited for over a whole year. And what we do see is certainly cause for a little bit of excitement. RoboCop is currently scheduled to open on August 9, 2013, and stars the eclectic cast of Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Laurie, Abbie Cornish and Joel Kinnaman in principal roles.
