We’re Moving House Tomorrow – Don’t Panic
So, as you’ve noticed there is a countdown going on on our site. It counts down to our biggest event to date: We’re moving Filmophilia to a self-hosted site, and flying out of our loving WordPress.com nest just before our first birthday.
We’ve loved being on WordPress.com, as it has allowed us to experiment with both our look and material for almost free, but as we edge ever closer towards complete world domination, we felt the urge to update both our look and our methods, and are now acting upon them. We’ve grown very fond of our very simple platform here, but we are confident that you will love our new site even more.
For our WordPress.com followers: As we are moving away from WordPress.com, you will stop getting updates about our new posts, so we encourage you to either go over to our Facebook page and Like us there, or make a note of visiting us tomorrow or Tuesday and subscribe to us over on the new site. We will be able to move our e-mail subscribers over, so those don’t need to worry.
As such technomological thingamajobs are something of an uphill challenge for our editor and overlord, it is not out of the realm of possibility that there might be a little downtime while this transfer goes through. Of course, we’re hoping that it doesn’t happen, but if something strange happens in your visit to our site tomorrow, please do not panic and rest assured that on the other side of that hypothetical error screen is a man doing all the panicking for you.
So, until we meet on the other site/side:
