Still Life: Early Robocop Concept Art Looks Like Something We’ve Seen Before
And no, it’s not Robocop. In fact these pieces of concept art look just like a gun-metal grey Iron Man, except with less personality. It kinda screams generic modern “future-ey” design. Apparently this is art from an early stage and the end product will at least be a little different, with us being able to see Robocop’s eyes. I’m not quite sure about that. Nothing has really sold me so far on this Robocop reboot and it has some ways to go before it proves itself to me, and audiences.
It does have one thing going for it, a pretty terrific cast: Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie, Jay Baruchel and Jackie Earle Haley.
Robocop, from director José Padilha and writers James Vanderbilt, Nick Schenk and Joshua Zetumer, comes out August 9th, 2013.
