Daily Trailer: Emo Sean Penn In This Must Be the Place

This Must Be the Place, the emo Nazi-hunter movie, released its first US trailer.  Staring Sean Penn as an aging-rocker, the film is about Penn’s obsession with pursuing the Nazi criminal who tormented his father in a concentration camp.  While we have already reviewed the film, we still wanted to give you every possible bit of promotional information before deciding to sit down and give it a watch.

Here’s the synopsis for This Must Be the Place:

Cheyenne (Sean Penn) is a former rock star. At 50, he still dresses “goth” and lives in Dublin off his royalties. The death of his father, with whom he wasn’t on speaking terms, brings him back to New York. He discovers his father had an obsession: to seek revenge for a humiliation he had suffered. Cheyenne decides to pick up where his father left off, and starts a journey, at his own pace, across America.

Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, the film also stars Frances McDormand and Judd Hirsch.  This Must Be the Place opens on October 14th, 2012.
