Many have asked the question, ‘Is there life after The Dark Knight Rises.’ With Batman fans loyal to their cinematic Superhero, it appears Zack Snyder‘s Man Of Steel is in for quite the fight of reaching the bar set by Christopher Nolan.
Meeting those expectation head on is Henry Cavill‘s recent comments on the film, placing a certain comfort that Snyder’s take on Superman will be easy for Dark Knight Rises fans to get on-board with.
“What I can say is that it’s a modernisation of the character and a very realistic view of one, obviously, very fantastic individual,” Cavill said. “It’s an unreal situation, but it’s approached from a very practical viewpoint. We wanted to make the character easier to identify with.”
Sound like rhetoric similar to that of Batman Begins. And, like Christian Bale before him, Cavill is well aware of the pressure mounting on his shoulders. “It’s important to do the role justice. There are a lot of people relying on me to do this well.
“I gladly accept that responsibility, and it’s a great one to have because it’s a wonderful opportunity.”
“I don’t let the pressures get to me because that’s going to hinder my performance and, therefore, let people down. So I choose to ignore the pressure side of it and focus on doing justice to Superman.”
Man Of Steel will arrive in theaters on June 14th, 2013.
