Michael Clarke Duncan Passes Away At 54
Oscar-nominated actor and all-around great guy Michael Clarke Duncan has died at age 54, following a July heart attack, according to his fiancee.
Duncan, who suffered a heart attack on July 13, had been receiving continual treatment for it ever since but never managed to recover, finally passing away earlier today.
I cannot fully express how saddened I am by this news, as he was a great favorite of mine, in equal measures talented and charming. He received an entirely justified Oscar nomination for his performance as prisoner John Coffey in The Green Mile in 1999, and left a lasting impression through his acting in a plethora of other films, including Sin City, Friday, Armageddon, The Island, Planet of the Apes and Bulworth.
You will be missed, Michael.
