Still Life: First Official Look at Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine

Or should that be Huge Jackedman? The charming Australian has always gotten himself in shape for his role as the adimantium laced mutant, and from the looks of it things aren’t changing for the upcoming, and the-totally-not-related-to-X-Men-Origins-because-it-was-horrible, The Wolverine.

The James Mangold directed not-sequel/prequel will see Hugh Jackman, again taking on his most recognizable role, journey to Japan to learn the ancient arts of the samurai in a story based on an iconic comic book arc by Frank Miller. And he’ll look like a brick-shithouse while doing it. Feast your eyes on the topless Jackman in the first official photo related to the film, released via one of Marvel’s Twitter accounts.

The Wolverine comes out July 26th, 2013.
