Director Michael Walker’s Price Check screened earlier this year in the 2012 Sundance Premieres line-up. As the film now moves to its limited theatrical release, we can all get a good look at it via its first trailer.
Starring Parker Posey (The House of Yes) as a pricing/marketing executive for a grocery chain, Price Check follows her scandalous relationship with employee (Eric Mabius), who falls for her temptation at the cost of his marriage. This trailer, while slightly intriguing in plot, is all over the place with a Posey that comes off a bit too wild. Mabius simply seems lost on screen, struggling to handle the material as it relates to a sporadically tempered Posey.
