It’s October and Halloween is drawing closer. Last year we celebrated by listing our personal favorite scary movies, but this year we’re going to give the readers a voice. Over the next couple of weeks or so, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite Halloween-related film, and in the week before Halloween we will publish the results in a grand, user-generated Top Ten. We might also include quotes from readers with each entry, so when you’ve voted, go ahead and elaborate on your vote below in the comments section.
You can vote for any Halloween-related film, be it a film about Halloween, a film released around Halloween or just a film you like to watch on Halloween.
There’s also a little bit in it for those who vote, as we will be giving away a prize to three lucky contestants. The prize is a copy of the new thriller The Cottage, starring horror film favorite David Arquette along with Kristen Dalton and Victor Browne. According to the producers’ description, in The Cottage, a “suspense-thriller based on a real-life story, a financially struggling couple with a new baby girl needs to rent out the cottage behind their house to make ends meet. When a prospective tenant has a sudden accident and is unable to take the place, they decide to rent it to a seemingly charming novelist, only to find out he’s not who he says he is.”
You can check out the trailer and artwork below the poll. But let’s get to it! Cast your vote and take part in the discussion in the comments. And don’t worry, we’re not going to share your e-mail with anyone. It’s just so we can contact you if you win.
