Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan Set To Star In Hold On To Me
Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan (Drive, The Great Gatsby) are reported to star opposite one another in Hold On To Me, a true crime thriller from director James Marsh (Man on Wire, Project Nim).
The film revolves around a couple who kidnaps a wealthy man, and bury him live in the hopes to secure some ransom. Though the project is claimed to to be based on a true story, it’s currently unclear exactly what case inspired it. Some have made speculations at the similarities between this film and the kidnapping and burial of Samuel Bronfman in New York; a case that ended with a multi-million dollar ransom payment.
Pattinson can next be seen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, but to his credit the teen-star actor is trying to make a name for himself as a serious artist. By collaborating with such names as David Cronenberg, Pattinson has started to set himself in right direction. Following his Cosmopolis role, Pattinson will also be seen staring opposite Guy Pearce in David Michod’s near-future Australian Western, The Rover and is attached to perform in Werner Herzog’s Queen of the Desert as Colonel T.E. Lawrence. Lastly, he’ll star in Mission: Blacklist, a story of the U.S. military interrogator who discovered the location of Saddam Hussein.
