‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Deleted Scene Explains Missing Character & More
It surprised most of us when The Amazing Spider-Man actually turned out to be quite good, even more since it’s another Spidey origin flick. But while most people walked out of the movie theater with a smile, many were left with a question. What the hell happened to Rajit Ratha, Irrfan Khan’s slimy businessman?
If you recall Ratha, who was on his way to do some bad stuff, got nabbed by the Rhys Ifan’s Lizard during the bridge sequence. You’ll also remember that he doesn’t show up after that. Well, now your questions can be answered. A deleted scene has found its way on to YouTube where you not only get to see what eventually happened to Ratha, but you also get some hints as to Peter Parker’s nature. Check it out.
There you have it.
Apparently fans were not pleased that Peter Parker had been genetically engineered, and thus predestined, to become Spider-Man. A large part in what made the character so popular was the fact that he was a random kid who got bit by a spider. But, deleted scene or no, this does seem to be the direction the franchise is taking ol’ Petey, so learn to love it. Or not.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release in the summer of 2014, and will see the return of Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and director Marc Webb. Rumor has it Shailene Woodley will be joining the cast as Mary Jane Watson, as well as a shot-in-the-dark rumor that Electro will be the main villain.
